Recommender Systems and Intelligent User Interfaces

In this research area we study recommendation systems, personalization and different types of adaption mechanisms (e.g. different contexts in context-aware recommendation). We pay special attention to user interfaces for deploying recommendation system algorithms, and this leads our connection with intelligent user interfaces (IUI). We also study IUI in the context of other areas, such as medical domain, tourism, scientific articles, online games, music and visual arts.
